Finalize the Deal
Discuss and agree on the meeting point, handover process, and payment with the traveler. Then drop off the package or meet at the agreed location on the travel day.
Receive and Pay
When the traveler reaches the destination, you can either pick up the package from a pre-decided location or opt for delivery to your address (extra courier charges may apply). If they are accompanying someone, meet them at the destination. Pay the traveler the agreed amount once the delivery is complete.

How does Shadowmiles.com work?
Shadowmiles is a traveler-powered delivery platform that connects senders with trusted travelers. Whether you’re a sender, a small business, or someone needing a companion for a loved one, you can use our network to send packages or request a traveler to accompany someone on a trip — locally or internationally.
How are my trip and profile verified?
Your profile and trip are verified through a combination of steps — submitting valid government ID, providing accurate travel details, and completing a quick verification call. These helps build your trust score and make you more visible to travelers.
Can a traveler refuse after accepting the request?
All Shadowmiles travelers are verified and understand the responsibility that comes with accepting a request. However, there may be situations where a traveler has to refuse — for example, if the actual items differ from what was originally described, if the request involves something unsafe or restricted, or if their travel plans change unexpectedly.
In such cases, Shadowmiles encourages travelers not to proceed with the delivery for everyone’s safety. If a cancellation occurs, our support team will inform you promptly and either help you find an alternative traveler or fully refund your access fee if one was paid.
When and how do I pay?
You pay the traveler directly after the service is successfully completed — whether it’s delivering a package or accompanying a person. However, to connect with a traveler, you’ll need to pay a small access fee upfront to view their contact details. This access fee is fully refundable if the trip doesn’t go ahead or the traveler declines your request.
How will the item or my person reach me?
You can either pick up the package from the traveler at the destination station or from their local address, depending on what you both agree on. Alternatively, you can ask the traveler to courier the package to your address, with any additional courier charges to be paid by you as per your mutual agreement.
For accompanying a person, you must be present to receive them at the traveler’s destination station as agreed.
What is the access fee, and why do I need to pay it?
The access fee gives you the ability to view a sender’s contact details and connect with them. This small fee helps us maintain a secure and verified community. If your trip doesn’t go ahead or the sender declines, the access fee will be fully refunded.
What about the insurance of my package?
Currently, Shadowmiles does not offer insurance. However, we are working on introducing an insurance plan to help protect both travelers and senders in the future.
Will the traveler open the package?
Yes, travelers are encouraged to open and check the package before accepting it. This helps ensure that the contents match what was described in your request and that there are no restricted or unsafe items. It also allows the traveler to repack it securely for the journey. This step builds trust on both sides – giving the traveler confidence in what they’re carrying and giving you peace of mind that your package was handled properly.
What if my item is delivered in damaged or incomplete condition?
If your item arrives damaged or incomplete, you have the right to refuse to accept the delivery. In such cases, the traveler will not be paid, and any delivery fee you paid will be refunded to you.
If you’re sending fragile items, we recommend clearly mentioning special handling instructions to the traveler beforehand. Please note that Shadowmiles does not take responsibility for damage or loss during transit, so we strongly suggest insuring your package. Shadowmiles is a global platform, so you can send packages or request travel assistance to and from almost any country. If you have a specific location in mind, feel free to reach out to us – we’re happy to help with international shipping requests wherever possible.
What types of items can I send through Shadowmiles?
You can send commonly accepted items such as clothes, documents, books, electronics, personal gifts, and other non-restricted goods. Items that are illegal, flammable, perishable, or against airline or customs regulations – like alcohol, drugs, weapons, or live animals – are strictly prohibited. Always follow your country’s and the destination’s customs and shipping rules.
Can I send valuable or fragile items?
Yes, but it’s important to send such items at your own risk. Clearly inform the traveler that the item is fragile and provide detailed handling instructions. For added safety, we strongly recommend insuring valuable or delicate packages before the trip.

All travelers on Shadowmiles go through a verification process that includes government ID checks, phone and email verification, and in some cases, a verification call. Each traveler also has a trust score based on their activity and profile completeness, helping you make informed decisions.
Can I track the delivery?
Shadowmiles does not currently offer real-time tracking. However, you can stay in touch with the traveler directly through the platform to receive regular updates on the delivery status.
What if the traveler delays the delivery?
If your item is delayed, please contact the traveler directly to understand the reason and coordinate a revised plan. In most cases, delays are due to unavoidable travel issues. If needed, our support team can step in to assist.
Can I request multiple travelers for one package?
No, each delivery request should be matched with one traveler at a time. If your first traveler cancels or becomes unavailable, you can submit a new request or choose from other available travelers.
Can I meet the traveler before the trip?
Yes, you can meet the traveler in person if both of you are comfortable and have agreed on a safe, public meeting spot. We encourage all communication and coordination to happen through the Shadowmiles platform for safety and accountability.
Can I send an item without being present in person?
Yes, you can have a trusted person (family member, friend, or colleague) hand over or receive the item on your behalf. Just make sure all details are shared clearly with the traveler ahead of time.
Is Shadowmiles responsible for damage, delays, or losses?
Shadowmiles is a community-based platform and does not take responsibility for any damage, delay, or loss during the trip. Travelers are expected to handle packages with care, but for high-value items, we strongly recommend using insurance.
